Rationale:
• The sentence we are deleting which states two faculty members from W.S.
serve on supervisory committees has been too confining for students needs.
There are a number of faculty throughout campus who are well qualified to sit
on our supervisory committees and we want to allow ourselves more access to
them (normally our supervisory committee consists of a senior supervisor and
one reader).

Rationale:
This would permit students to take either a theory or a methodology course as
their required course. Since both theory and methodology are central to
Women's Studies and both courses cannot be offered each term, this gives
students a chance of finishing their degree in the normal time.
