The Department of Mathematics and Statistics requests that the Faculty of Science
Curriculum Committee approve the request of the University College of Fraser Valley for an
Extended Minor in Math or Math with the Statistics Option for the BA degree.
Rationale: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics passed the following motion at its
meeting of Nov. 2, 1994.
"that we approve the Extended Minor in Math or Math with the Statistics Option
in the Faculty of Arts at the University College of Fraser Valley.

description of the requirements for this option appears on page 80 of the Calendar. For our
purposes the important requirements are:
