Action undertaken by the Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules at its meeting on
May 21, 1996 gives rise to the following motion
MOTION: "that at the end of an individual's term as Chair of the Senate
Policy Committee on Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries,
he/she remain as a non-voting member of the Senate Policy
Committee on Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries for one year"

In light of the changes you are currently proposing for Senate committees, I
would like to suggest the following modification:
"That at the end of an individual's term as Chair, he/she remain
as a member of the Senate Policy Committee for Scholarships,
Awards and Bursaries for one year."
As you know the Chair of SPCSAB also sits on SUAAC and SGAAC and
therefore has a very extensive overview not only of all policies of how they are put
into practice through these adjudication committees. I believe that the past Chair
would be in an excellent position to provide background information to the new
Chair.
The Dean of Students and Registrar, and I have discussed this in some
detail and are in agreement with the recommendation:
