University Board on Student Discipline
Senate Committee on Disciplinary Appeals
This is a combined report from the University Board on Student Discipline (UBSD)
and the Senate Committee on Disciplinary Appeals (SCODA) reporting on the third
year of operation of the revised policies on student academic dishonesty and
misconduct.
The University Board on Student Discipline heard and decided eight cases in the
period 1 September 1996 to 31 August 1997. The cases included five cases of
cheating on an examination or an assignment, and three cases of falsification of
documents.. A summary of the cases heard by UBSD is attached for the information
of Senate. It will be published in Simon Fraser News in the near future.
The Senate Committee on Disciplinary Appeals did not hear any cases during the
review period.
