A brief update on the Committee to Review Undergraduate Admissions (CRUA).
The Committee to Review Undergraduate Admissions (CRUA) has held a total of ten

Summer semester 1996, the Fall semester 1996, and the Spring semester 1997. At least
two meetings are held to review admission appeals for each semester; one meeting three
weeks prior to the start of the semester, and one meeting in the first week of classes. The
Committee has reviewed 93 cases and admitted 34 students.
Applicants for undergraduate admissions may submit appeals to the Committee in writing
up to two days prior to a scheduled CRUA meeting.
All

appearing at an in-person hearing at those meetings. In total 38 appellants chose to appear
in-person.
Of the ten students admitted by CRUA for the 96-1 semester: 2 have completed their
program; 4 are in good academic standing; 4 are on academic probation but able to
continue.
Of the five students admitted by CRUA for 96-2:4 are in good academic standing; one
voluntarily withdrew.
Of the 12 students admitted by CRUA for 96-3: 10 are in good academic standing; 2 are on
academic probation.
On occasion CRUA may deny a student but give conditions under which they may be
admitted in future. At this time one student has met these conditions and been admitted.
