The Working Group will be charged with reviewing the requirements for compliance
with the FOl/POP legislation and suggesting practical procedures and options for
complying with the legislation. Any change that might follow for Policy 110.10 would
be recommended to the FOI/POP Sub-committee, and if approved, would come
forward to SCAR. In reviewing the mandate of the Working Group, SCAR agreed that
the current policy contains several features that relate more specifically to
implementation methods and one outcome might be to more clearly define those issues
that should be considered to be part of 'policy' and reassign 'procedural' issues to some
other forum. SCAR also agreed that the review by the Working Group could be
informed by input from a departmental assistant (as a non-voting resource person).
