From: ?
Alison Watt, Secretary, SCAR
Subject: ?
Information Policies - report
Date: ?
21 October, 1998
The package of Information Policies was referred back to SCAR for consideration at
the October meeting of Senate.
SCAR considered these and has determined the following course of action:
Policies 110.01 through 110.09 do not need any further consideration by SCAR
or Senate. They have all been previously approved and will be posted on the
web shortly.
Policy 110.10 should be referred to a small working group made up of two
S ?
faculty members, one student and Mr. Ian Forsyth. This working group will
be charged with reviewing the requirements for compliance with the
FOl/POP legislation and suggesting practical procedures and options for
complying with the legislation. Any change that might follow for Policy I
10.10 would be recommended to the FOI/POP Sub-committee, and if
approved, would come forward to SCAR.
SCAR therefore recommends to Senate:
MOTION
that a working group be established, composed of two faculty members and
one student,
all
selected by SCAR, and the University Archivist/FOI/POP
Coordinator, to explore and recommend implementation processes to be
incorporated into 110.10 to comply with the FOI/POP legislation
