ANNUAL REPORT -
1997
The Senate Committee on Academic Planning held 9 meetings in 1997. Most
recommendations of SCAP go forward to Senate for action or information. This
report, therefore, presents a summary of the major actions of the Committee during
the year.

The programs marked * also required approval of the Provincial Governments
Degree Program Review Committee. In all cases, Ministerial approval was granted.
During the year, no programs were presented to SCAP for further planning and
development.
CURRICULUM REVISIONS
1997 was the second year of the new curriculum revision process, with Senate
Committee on Undergraduate Studies and the Senate Graduate Studies Committee
exercising the responsibilities delegated by Senate and SCAP to approve new courses
and minor program revisions, subject to review by SCAP and Senate.
During the 1997/98 curriculum revision cycle, the following course change activity

ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT (SCEMP)
SCEMP recommended the undergraduate admission targets for 1997/98 which were
approved by SCAP. SCEMP also recommended that the number of international
students, excluding exchange students, be limited to 7% of all admissions and SCAP
approved this limit for three years from 1997 -.2000.
