In November 1999, the Senate Committee on Academic Planning received three

external review reports and departmental responses which had taken place more than

two years ago, and which had become entangled in the three year planning process.

The external review reports, the responses by the departments and the updates to the

three year plans elicited very little discussion at SCAP. Dr. Munro, chair of SCAP

asked the Senate Committee on Agenda and Rules (SCAR) whether it would be

worthwhile to forward these very much delayed external reviews to Senate, and the

consensus was that these papers would not be likely to generate a great deal of

discussion at Senate. Therefore these materials will not be forwarded to Senate.

However, these reports may be of interest to some Senators, and anyone wishing to

review the papers which were considered by SCAP should contact me.
