Minor in Education and Technology
Our society has witnessed increasing public enthusiasm for computing and communications
technologies over the past century. This growing enthusiasm has produced a need for
current and future teachers to become more knowledgeable about the educational potential
of current technologies for teaching and learning - as well as their limitations, and the
concerns they raise. Such knowledge is essential if teaching professionals are to help
shape wise decisions about whether, why, and how to make use of new technologies in
school environments. This minor provides a structure for undergraduate studies of
education and technology, which will help to meet the developing needs of education
professionals in this domain.
