Graduate grades deadline

Action undertaken by the Calendar Committee gives rise to the following motion:

"the Calendar Committee approved and recommends to Senate for approval that

in the absence of scheduled exams, graduate grades are due on the last day of the

undergraduate exam period."

Rationale

The responsibilities of graduate students who are also teaching assistants often conflict

with the current deadline for graduate grade submission, which is 96 hours after classes

end. Extending the deadline as recommended would allow graduate students more

flexibility in meeting their academic requirements.
