Candidate Information for elections at Senate Meeting
Monday, July 5, 2004
Bansal, Ravi
Hi my name is Ravi Bansal
I am extremely interested in getting more involved within SFU and I would be thrilled to
take on the position on the Senate Appeals Board. Previously I was the Forum Rep.
for
Psychology and currently I am the UGSC representative for the psychology department. I
am also currently working on being an orientation leader, and am the volunteer
coordinator for career night that HCC is holding. I also volunteer at Vancouver's crisis
line. I would be pleased to work with SFU more closely and I believe this would be one
of those great opportunities.
Thank you for your time.
Ou, George
I would like to be part of the Senate Appeals Board because this is the chance for me to
• serve other students by hearing and considering their appeals. I enjoy sitting in a group
discussing cases where our decisions make a difference to students at school. I also like to
help others as much as I can. In cases of student aggravation, I would like to be able to
discuss their cases and help them if their complaints are justified. I believe my
participation in the Senate Appeals Board would contribute to the decision-making
process.
Su, Jack
Statement of interest
My name is Jack Su, majoring in Kinesiology. I am interested in applying for the Senate
Appeals Board. Since my first year in Simon Fraser University, I have been actively
involved in SFU World University Service of Canada (WUSC), the SFU Student Refugee
program, and I am also a member of the SFU Red Cross Club. My interests have led me to
participate in an internship in Malawi this summer. I will be returning to Canada and SFU
in August. Thank you for your consideration.
