SUBJECT: Dissolution of Centre for Environmental Biology
DATE:

The CEB is the home for the Masters of Pest Management program and Environmental
Toxicology. It is not a "research centre" of the kind defined under policy R40.01. The
new pedagogical and administrative structure for graduate programs in the Department of
Biological Sciences no longer requires the presence of CEB. The attached memo from the
Dean of Science recommends that it be terminated. If SGSC approves this
recommendation, it will be forwarded to SCUP and Senate for final approval.
