Acting under delegated authority, the Senate Graduate Studies Committee, at its meeting

on November 10, 2003, approved the following:

Restructure of REM Ph.D. Program to include (a) a change from three field statements

to one integrative paper and (b) four courses, REM 611-5, 621-5,

644-5

and 801-5

to be listed as required courses and students will be expected to maintain a A- average

in those courses.

2. Reduction in the time required for a Ph.D. student to complete the Comprehensives

and defend their research proposal.
