Subject: Schedule of Dates 2006-2009
At its meeting of 20 September 2005, the Calendar committee reviewed, for approval by
Senate, the schedule of dates for future semesters commencing Fall 2006 and finishing
Summer of 2009.
Notes:
2007 Spring - Easter break occurs immediately following the last day of class therefore to
accommodate the number of exam days required, there will be no mid-tern, break.
2008 Spring - Easter break falls in mid-March and would replace mid-term break.
2009 Spring - a mid-term break can be accommodated as Easter break falls in the middle of
the exam period.
The calendar committee agreed that to accommodate the requirements of exam scheduling, it
might be necessary to schedule exams on Sundays.
MOTION:
"that Senate approve the proposed academic calendar schedule of dates for 2006-3 to
2009-2".
