Studies gives rise to the following motion:

That Senate approve the changes to Grade 12 Admission Requirements for the following programs in the Faculty of
Applied Sciences: Communication, Computing Science, Geographic Information Science, General Studies (BGS),
Interactive Arts and Technology, and Kinesiology as outlined in attached Proposal (Revision B) effective September 1,
2006.
The revisions are highlighted in the attached document and the Calendar will be revised accordingly.

Preamble
The Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Science, and Business Administration have fairly simple admission requirements.
The Faculty of Applied Sciences, on the other hand, has very complex admission requirements, due to the diversity of
programs offered within the Faculty. If FAS continues with the current model admission promises to become more
complicated over time as new programs are introduced.
This proposal simplifies admission to FAS by creating five static categories for admission.
