At its meeting of

May 2006, Senate Graduate Studies Committee approved the
following curriculum and calendar changes in the
Department of Psychology:
1.
Program in Experimental Psychology
• Developmental area
Delete the clause:
"As well, students must complete an additional PSYC
950
in each year past year four."
• Social area
Delete the clause:
"As well, students must complete an additional PSYC 960 in each year past year four."
Rationale:
Such course requirement in doctoral candidates' fourth year is not enforceable.
2.
Satisfactory Performance
A language change would clarify:
• satisfactory progress within an academic year and the process of annual review
• course requirement of minimum B grade = GPA 3.0, and maintenance of
CGPA of 3.5.
