amount' from Simon Fraser University. This Fund will be held in perpetuity by
Simon Fraser University. The Chair will be a senior scientist who will lead a
world-class research program in marine and coastal conservation. While it is
anticipated that the focus of the Chair will evolve over time, current areas of
interest could include climate change, ecology, endangered species, fisheries,
sustainability of ecosystems and implications for policy. The Chair will further
enhance an already significant research and outreach program and support the
activities of such SFU centers as the Centre for Coastal Studies and the Tom
Buell BC Leadership Chair in Salmon Conservation.
