At its 11 th
December 2006 meeting, SGSC approved a new Earth Sciences graduate course
in the Faculty of Science, effective in the Fall semester of 2007:
New graduate course
EASC 605-3
Advanced glaciology
Rationale:
A new graduate course designed for students interested in advanced quantitative glaciology
- this course was taught as a special topics course in the Fall semester of 2006.

At its 12th February 2007 meeting, Senate Graduate
Studies Committee approved the following curriculum
and calendar changes in the Faculty of Science:

PHYS 888-1 Special topics VIII
PHYS 889-1 Special topics IX
Rationale:
Options for short courses offered by faculty or
visitors
Molecular Biology
&
Biochemistry - program changes
Minor language changes to the coursework requirements
of M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs
Rationale:
Removing requirement of MBB 802-3 Student seminar, and
giving students the options of three 1-credit
colloquium courses, providing more valuable
experiences
