On September 15, 2009, the Faculty of Communication, Art and
Technology Undergraduate Curriculum Committee approved the
following curricular revisions passed by the TechOne Faculty
meeting on September 14, 2009:
• Change in admission requirement for Tech One
• Removal of CMPT 120 and MACM 101 from TechOne core
requirements
The following corresponding calendar changes will also be
required:
• Calendar change to reflect new admission requirement
• Calendar change to reflect removal of CMPT 120 and
MACM 101 from TechOne core requirements.

RATIONALE: In 2010-11 TechOne will be recruiting direct admits and potential
students for FCAT academic units. This change will meet the minimum
requirements for the School of Communication and the School of Contemporary
Arts. In addition, this change would match the admission requirements for the
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences as well as the Faculty of Education. Note, this
change directly applies to students who have not selected a major (students
classified as BACK ). Direct admits to respective units must meet the
admission requirements specified by the unit in addition to TechOne admission
requirements.
