DESIGNS FOR LEARNING: ELEMENTARY LANGUAGE ARTS
C100
The course focuses on developing knowledge, skills, and strategies to create a rich and stimulating language
arts program in the elementary classroom. Issues in reading, writing, speaking, listening, representing, and
viewing will be examined through current theory and teaching practice. This is an instructional course for
teachers and student teachers.
REQUISITE(S):
EDUC 401/402 or corequisite EDUC 403. Students who have credit for EDUC 472 prior to
the 2001-2 semester cannot take EDUC 472 for further credit.
