    Range of Topics
    The pace of change In the subject fields of the social sciences (including
    education) has forced educatàrs to shift their focus from the findings of
    research fields to the Immediate tasks of the classroom teacher. In the
    process, teaching strategies have emerged as the most useful framework to
    co-ordinate the latest theories of learning with both the subject fields
    and the classroom situation. In this course the following teaching strategies
    will receive particular attention - inquiry, simulation, openers, value analysis,
    evaluation, skill development, concept formation, development, and attainment.
    Alongside the presentation and discussion of these strategies, there will be
    opportunities for the development of specific materials within the framework
    of a curriculum design.
