NEW STUDENT AND FORMER STUDENT REQUIRING HE-ADMISSION (students
who have not completed Simon Fraser University courses within the
last three semesters): Application for Admission or Re-Admission are
available from the Office of the Registrar (address and phone number
below). The completed Application, with all official documents

to most with colleagues for focussed discussion, problem-solving and

Students will learn to use English language teaching grammars
appropriately, to evaluate and use methods of teaching English as a
second language, to do error analysis, and to adapt commercial
programmes to the specific needs of learners. This course is designed
for teachers and prospective teachers.
Prerequist.e: A lower division linguistics course or permission of the Instructor.
In the Fail 1986 semester, we are fortunate to have the support of Dr.
Kelleen Toohey to co-ordinate a DISCp/us in your area. Pending
sufficient enrollment, the Educ 467-4 DlSCp/zis will Include live
workshop(s) and an optional on-line computer forum linking
participants to the instructor and other teachers In the ESL course.
