Range of Topics:
This course presents an overview of current trends in philosophy,
theory and practice.
The concentration will be focused upon the basic developmental
considerations which will provide on-going guidance in determining
appropriate theories and philosophies for the education of young
children. These determinations will be related to planning and
developing learning environments for children from 3 - 8 years
of age.

Because this will not be a lecture course all participants must read
and come prepared each week to discuss the focus. Assignments will be
given at the first meeting in order that the necessary research and
preparation for oral presentations are possible.
