    RANGE OF TOPICS:
    The emphasis will be on the preschool and beginning school child with
    specific reference to the content areas indicated by the texts above:

    3.
    activities in the creative arts
    Materials selection and alternate programs will be stressed.
    RECOMMENDED READING:
    Purchase of all three texts is desirable. In addition, an extensive
    bibliography in each area is available with selected titles on overnight
    reserve at the Library.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    The major assignment will be to plan in detail, in one content area, a
    portion of an instructional program for the coming year, using the tools of
    instructional design and analysis to be introduced in the course. Short over-
    night assignments will be given by each instructor as student needs arise.
