    This course is intended for students in the early stages of preparing for teaching. Of principal concern will be the
    applications of modern psychology and psychological research to the problem of designing instruction. The course is
    designed to apply to all grade levels of public education, from K-12. Of special concern will be an exploration of some
    of the less formal instructional methods that are currently being used at virtually all levels of the school system.
    Throughout, attention will be paid to a variety of psychological theories as they apply to instructional design.
    REQUIREMENTS
    1. Midterm examination (in class)
    2. Final examination
    3. One brief "thought paper" on a topic of student choice.
