    The University Act and Rules of Senate require that the Registrarreport the results of
    elections to Senate and the Board of Governors for information.
    Faculty Election to Senate
    A call for nominations went out on September 28, 2011 for the following vacant
    positions on Senate:
    Faculty member from Environment elected by Environment
    Faculty member from Health Sciences elected by Health Sciences
    Faculty member from Health Sciences elected by Joint Faculty
    Faculty member from any faculty elected by Joint Faculty
    A nomination was received by Paul Li from the Faculty of Science for the position of
    faculty member from any faculty elected by joint faculty.
    Paul Li
    was elected by
    acclamation with the term of office ending on May 31, 2013. No nominations were
    received for the other positions.
    Another call for nominations will be issued during the Spring 2012 term to fill the
    remaining vacancies.
    Student Election to Senate
    A call for nominations went out on September 28,2011 for the following vacant student
    positions on Senate:
    Student (undergrad or grad) from the Faculty of Education
    Student (undergrad or grad) from the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology
    One nomination was received by a student in the Faculty of Communication, Art and
    Technology and so
    Heather Palis
    (undergraduate) was elected by acclamation with the
    term of office ending May 31, 2012.
    Three nominations were received from students in the Faculty of Education. Online
    voting resulted in
    Stacey Robinsmith
    (graduate) being elected for the Senator position in
    Education with the term of office ending May 31, 2012.
