GRADUATE CALENDAR
The Chairman drew attention to the table of contents for the
Graduate Calendar and reported that the Graduate Studies
Committee had looked at the entire Calendar in some detail
so it was not felt necessary to provide the Senate with
copies of material, which had already been approved by Senate
for the Undergraduate Calendar. The detailed information then
which Senate now had to consider was restricted to the Faculty
Submissions.
THE FACULTY OF ARTS
The paragraph dealing with registration was questioned but it
was finally decided to accept the present wording with a
suggestion that the Arts Faculty review the wording and attempt
to clarify the intention.
Moved by K. E. Rieckhoff, seconded by R. J. Baker
"that the Residence and Time Limit specifications
be uniform across the Faculties and that it be:
Residence Requirements
The minimum residence requirement for the M.Sc. degree is
one year. The requirement for the Ph.D. degree is three years
of residence from B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent.
Under certain circumstances and with the permission of his

study off campus.
