Action undertaken by the Senate Committee on Graduate Studies
at its meeting of November 14, 1983, gives rise to the following motion:-
MOTION:
"That Senate approve and recommend approval to the Board of
Governors, as set forth in S.83-108, the proposed change
in regulations in the M.Sc. program -
Change from "The minimum course requirement for the Master's
degree consists of 18 semester hours of graduate-level course
credit, at least 15 of which must be in Computing Science."

The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies Graduate Curriculum Committee
recommends the following change in course requirements for the M.Sc.
program in Computing Science. The proposed change is to require all
MSc. students to take CMPT 810-3, The Design and
- Analysis
- 6f Algorithms.-
Specifically, the calendar change would be made in the section:
Degree Requirements - M.Sc. program, 1. Course Work
(p.
249).
The
first sentence in this section currently reads:
"The minimum course requirement for the Master's degree consists of 18
semester hours of graduate-level course credit, at least 15 of which

It would be changed to read:
"The minimum course requirement for the Master's degree consists of 18
