Re: French Canadian Studies Certificate Program credit for
CN.S 390/391-3 and CN.S 490/491-3.
I.S.C. 80-61.
Attached is a proposal from the Centre for Canadian Studies
concerning the above-noted "empty box" courses. From time to
time these courses are used for French Canadian topics, and when
such is the case it would appear appropriate that credit be given
for them in the French Canadian Studies Certificate Program,
with the approval of the Director of the Centre for Canadian Studies.
The above proposal was approved by the Faculty of Interdisciplinary
Studies Undergraduate Curriculum Committee at a meeting held on
May 13th, 1980. Would you please place this item on the next
agenda of the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies for that
committee's consideration.

The new Canadian Studies ciirriculum has two sets of "enpty box" courses (CN. S 390/391-3
and CN.S 490/491-3) which may be used for French Canadian topics from time to time-.
When that is the case it is appropriate that these courses be given credit in the
French Canadian Studies Certificate Program. The proposed change is shown on the
