RATIONALE:
Change of Prerequisite to "Two Lower Division Anthropology "A"
courses."
The current system of prerequisites was
planned
in 1973 on the
assumption that the Department was going to expand. Since the 'consent
of Department' clause is used so often we feel it better to regularize
the position. Any 200
diu (
sI
1Anthropo1ogy course. would draw upon a
common body of theory and concepts even if not explicitly focussing
on them, and this would suffice to provide a starting point for the
more advanced anthropology courses.
Change of prerequisite to "Permission of Department - prior
exposure to topic strongly recommended"
The instructors of these courses prefer that the courses be open
to all students with a genuine interest in the topic, and prior exposure
to the topic.
