Proposed Additions to the Calendar
GERO 411-3: Special Topics in Gerontology
The treatment of selected psychological, sociological, economic,
biological and practical aspects of the aging of individuals and
populations.
PREREQUISITE: 60 semester hours credit GERO 300-3 recommended
GERO 412-3: Special Topics in Gerontology
The treatment of selected psychological, sociological, economic,
biological and practical aspects of the
aging
of individuals and
populations
PREREQUISITE: 60 semester hours credit GERO 300-3 recommended
RATIONALE: Given that the DGT has received monies from
,
a
number
of
external sources (e.g., Squibb, Fred Silber Fund) to
offer Special Topics courses, there is a real possibility
that two (or even three) Special Topics courses could be
offered in a given semester. Therefore, for administrative
purposes, it is crucial that Special Topics numbers (in
addition to the existing GERO 410 designation) be
available.
