WEST, SUZANNE
My career at Simon Fraser University was as
,a Communications Major
and I graduated in Spring, 1978. During the four years of my
studies I resided at Louis Riel House, and both worked and studied
in many departments of the University including the Audio Visual
Cen t
re and Continuing Studies,
My understanding of the University comes from that of a student,
that of an employee, that of an innovator participating in the
design and development of programs now in use at the University,
that of a graduate trying to find practical application for my
skills and knowledge in to-day's world, that of a community resident
who has watched the development of Simon Fraser University since
.
?
the first bit of road was cut through the trees to its current
site, and that of a mother with a son who attended the Simon Fraser
University Day Care Centre, which his mother helped plan, and who
will himself in less than a decade attend Simon Fraser University.
I hope that the perspectives, experiences and skills that I have
would be of assistance to the Senate.
