Senate Committee on Academic Planning gives rise to the following motion:

Motion:

"that Senate approve and recommend approval to the Board

of Governors as set forth in S.98 - 6 , the deletion of Joint

Minor in French and Education."

For Information:

Acting under delegated authority SCUS approved curriculum revisions as

follows:

Changes to the Mathematical Sciences Specialization

Change EDUC 461-4 to EDPR 461-4.

Delete the Joint Minor in French and Education

We would also like to remove the Joint Minor in French &

Education that has been offered through the Faculty of Education.

This minor has been available for approximately

years, but we

have never had a student complete it. At a recent meeting

between members of the Faculty of Education and the Department

of French it was felt that since we do not seem to have an

audience for this minor, it should be deleted from the calendar.
