The attached submissions for Ccnunications Centre Course .Oianges have
been approved by the Curriculum
, Committee of the Faculty of Education, and
will be submitted to the total Faculty on December 5th. (The same date as
the next Senate meeting).
Since we would like the courses approved in time for the Spring Semester,
I would ask you to place these submissions on the Senateagenda for the
December

5th meeting. If the Faculty of Education fails to approve them, I
shall notify you innediately so that they can be
withdrawn
from the Senate
agenda, but the unanimous support from the committee suggests they
will
be
formally approved by the Faculty.

"That the Curriculum Seminar in Education

404 be re-
titled Professional Foundations 450 and be granted a
credit value of three semester hours. Professional
Foundations 450 will be one of the optional courses
available to students for completion of Education 404.
The specific studies undertaken by students in fulfilling
Professional Foundations 450 will be subject to the
approval of appropriate faculty members in Professional
Foundations."

Professional Foundations 450 - Or4e4un Seminar
This seminar will normally be a required portion of Education 404. The
nature and content of the seminar will be determined jointly by the faculty
of Professional Foundations and the student and will explore topics of
concern and relevance to the students professional role.
