MOTION 1:

"That Senate approve, as set forth in Paper S.73-3,

the proposed graduate regulations."
MOTION 2: ?
"That these new regulations take effect as of
February 1, 1973 with the following two exceptions:
a) No students accepted under the old regulations
shall be penalized by the change-over to the
new regulations..
b) No students who have already applied on the basis
of the old regulations shall be seriously penalized
by the change in regulations."
(Intent - Under the constraints of this clause, other
regulations which previously passed Senate which are
in conflict with the current document are to be
considered amended as necessary by this document.)
Explanatory
Note:
1.
SGSC 121, itrIuding Appendices A, B, C, but excluding the
Attachment, shall be published in the booklet entitled "General
Regulations - Graduate Studies
2.
SGSC 121, e.z.-luding the Appendices and the Attachment shall be
published, vith editorial revisions, in the 197-74 Graduate
Calendar (the editorial changes will involve such things as
changing references to the Appendices into references to
eneral Regulations - Grd'i

3.
The new regulations shall be distribut.d by the Dean of Graduate
Studies to all Graduate Program Committees as soon as possible,
but in any case before February 1, 1973.

The booklet, "General
Regulations - Graduate Studies" shall be printed and distributed
as soon as possible with the distribution to include all newly
applying students.
