Senate Vacancy

For Information

Part 7, Section 36(6) of the University Act states that "The secretary of the senate must

enter a declaration of the vacancy in the minutes of the senate."

This is to advise that Shek Yan To has resigned from Senate effective January 1, 2001. A

by-election call to seek a replacement to fill his position for balance term of office will be

issued in February at the same time as the regular call is issued for the annual election

of students to Senate.
